Duties Brief

1.      Locate the study participants if they fail to come for scheduled appointments

2.      Remind participants of their scheduled appointments

3.      Verify the participant’s residence and report changes of residence and/ or guardianship status to senior study personnel

4.      Read consent documents in local languages and interpreting for the consenting clinicians and participants during the consent process if and when necessary

5.      Make follow ups and bring participants to the clinic when they have missed a routine visit or are found to be ill or in need of medical attention

6.      Working to ensure participant adherence of the study protocol procedures

7.      May participate in counseling of participant and/ or family member

8.      Maintain the motorbikes/ in good working condition and report any problems to the Study Coordinator

Key Result Areas

1)      Participants attend all scheduled appointments

2)      Participants adequately followed up

3)      Participant adhere to the study protocol procedures

4)      Accurate and timely entry, tracking and recording of information on all source documents

5)      Adequate coverage of the study clinic

Qualification Required

1.      A Bachelor's degree in Humanities.

2.      At least 3 years work experience in a similar setting and or performing a similar activity

3.      Good communication, interpersonal skills and networking skills

4.      Integrity and ability to develop a productive working relationship with Community members

5.      Ability to operate in a fast and diverse environment

6.      Ability to ride a motorbike with a valid riding permit

7.      Knowledge of local languages spoken in the study areas is a must (Arua, Busia, and Kanungu districts)
